Answer:

The side lengths of the tile are 8 Inches and 10.5 Inches.

Explanation:

Perimeter of a parallelogram = 2(a + b)

Let

a = shorter side

b = longer side

b = a + 2.5 inches

The perimeter of each tile is 37 inches

Perimeter of a parallelogram = 2(a + b)

37 = 2{a + (a + 2.5)}

37 = 2{a + a + 2.5}

37 = 2(2a + 2.5)

37 = 4a + 5

37 - 5 = 4a

32 = 4a

Divide both sides by 4

a = 32/4

= 8

a = 8 inches

b = a + 2.5 inches

= 8 + 2.5

= 10.5 inches

b = 10.5 inches

The side lengths of the tile are 8 Inches and 10.5 Inches.
