Okay so first you want to convert your percentage to a decimal:

8%/100= 0.08
then you want to multiply it by 260:
260*0.08=20.8
then subtract that from 260 to get your answer:
260-20.8=239.2
his approx. cholesterol level is 239 :)

Brian has reduced his cholesterol level by 8% after his last check up. If his original level was 260, what is his approximate cholesterol level now?
