x-y=4

\longrightarrow\sf x-y=4

add them


\longrightarrow\sf 2x=20


\longrightarrow\sf x=10

Substitute the value in eq (1)


\longrightarrow\sf 10+y=16


\longrightarrow\sf y=6

numbers are 6 and 10
