`(x_1,y_1) \text{ and } (x_2,y_2)`:

`(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)`

Notice the numerator is just a subtraction of the y's while the denominator is a subtraction of the x's. The order you choose your y's on top will matter to how you subtract the x's.

You could just line up the points and remember that the y difference goes on top and the x difference goes on bottom.

This is my favorite way.
