slope=m=(y_(2)-y_(1))/(x_(2)-x_(1)) then just plug in what you already know.


y_(1)=-5\\y_(2)=-2\\x_(1)=17\\x_(2)=11

(-2-(-5))/(11-17)=(3)/(-6)=-(1)/(2)
