Why is it called Chick-Fil-A when a Fil-A (filet) is normally cooked with beef???

It is a cleaver marketing strategy. One of Chick-Fil-A’s missions is to encourage people to eat chicken instead of meat, so a funny twist they thought they should include is a name spin. Like you have stated, a Filet is normally a steak, but Chick-Fil-A spiced it up a little bit and changed the context behind it to fit their brand of boneless chicken :)
