2. Mr. Richards has had a stroke that damaged some of the

tissue on the left side of his brain and paralyzed his right
arm. He doesn't understand why his right arm is paralyzed
when the neurologist told him the stroke was on the left
side of his brain, and he feels sure his neurologist is wrong.
If you were his nurse or therapist, how would you explain
this to him in simple, lay terms?

Answer:

"Hi there Mr. Richards! I understand that this may be a confusing and worrying time for you, but the stroke occurred on the left side of your brain. This is because your left part of your brain is responsible for logic, reasoning and the right side of your body."

I answered as his nurse. Haha! Best of luck!
