During a thunderstorm​ yesterday, 600 millimeters of rain fell in 30 minutes. What is the unit rate for millimeters per​ minute? Describe a situation in which it would be useful to know this unit rate. Explain why the unit rate would be useful.

Answer:

20mm/min

because if there is 600mm of rain in 30 min then to find out how much came in 1 min is to divide 600/30 which comes out to 20/1.

this unit rate would be important if you needed to measure how much rain came every year to see the difference in weather its increasing or decreasing.
