The culture of Ancient Greece was extremely influential to the culture of Ancient Rome, sometimes that the two are often considered to be part of the same macro culture (Ancient Classical Culture).

When the Romans conquered Greece, they found a cultural development superior to their own, and took Greek Music, Architecture, Religion, Mythology, and literature, and preserved it.

They also adapted to their own ways these influences, for example: Roman religion was very similar to Greek Religion, and it had essentially the same Gods: Roman God Jupiter is Greek God Zeus, Roman God Mars is Greek God Ares, and so on.
