The scientific method and engineering method both essentially arise from one idea, that is tested and finalized. The scientific method calls to use a hypothesis after a question is asked, which essentially develops an idea to continue the process on. The engineering method begins with an issue that needs to be solved, and continues with a step where one generates concepts as a solution to this problem, which is simply put, creating ideas. These both do the same, create ideas to solve an issue/hypothesis. Afterwards, the engineering and scientific method both test that idea, and iterate that till they have created a valid solution. In the scientific method, you test your hypothesis, and try to find the solution to a scientific wonder, similar to the engineering process, where you test a prototype from an idea, and try to find the solution to a practical problem. Their specific steps might be different but their layout/outline is the same, an idea arises, that idea is tested, and that creates something new and helpful.
