-12 is your answer. We start by multiplying -3 four times, so multiplying a positive and a negative equals a negative: (+)x(-)=(-)

Answer: -12

Explanation: When multiplying integers, if the signs are the same, the product is positive, and if the signs are different, the product is negative.

Since the signs are different, the product is negative.

So a positive times a negative always equals a negative.

Therefore, 4 × -3 = -12.
