Study the equations:

f(x) = 6x + 7

g(x) = 4x – 2

What is h(x) = f(x)g(x)?

h(x) = 24x2 – 14
h(x) = 24x2 + 40x + 14
h(x) = 24x2 + 16x – 14
h(x) = 24x2 + 12x – 14

h(x) = (6x + 7)(4x - 2)

Use FOIL Method (First, Outer, Inner, Last)

h(x) = 24x^2 - 12x + 28x - 14

Combine like terms.

h(x) = 24x^2 - 16x - 14
