What were the successes and failures of Columbus’ voyages?

I think Columbus's voyages were both a success, but, at the same time, a failure. His voyages were a success because of all of the goods he brought back to Spain from the lands he has discovered. His voyages were also a success because of the deal he made with King Ferdinand & Queen Isabella.
