x = (b)/(2a)

for example let's say we have 2x²+4x+3

Explanation:

4 is the co-efficient of x therefore you substitute 4 in terms of b. 2 is the co-efficient of x² therefore you substitute 2 in terms of a.


x = (4)/(2(2))you will find your x value then you will substitute x from the original formula to get your y value.
