France helped fund the American revolution, Napoleon Bonaparte was the general and was really successful and they were capturing land left and right mean while France is going broke for all the wars that have been caused and they had to give up/sell a lot of territory like Haiti which was a really big situation where they were killing the French men at the island they sold the Louisiana purchase to the united states and that was the end to France because of them being so stuck up towards Britain
