Since a for l:b , Area = l x b

Area of letter box = 1.8 x 1 = 1.8 sq. units

Screen's ratio= 16:9

Area of screen = 16 x 9 = 144 sq. units

The percent of the screen's area that is occupied by the image =
(1.8)/(144)*100=1.25\%

Hence, the percent of the screen's area that is occupied by the

image. =1.25%
