If you divide 1.20 by 2.22 it comes out as 0.5405. If you take this and round, you get 0.541. After this, to make it a percentage, you move the decimal 2 places left, which comes out as 54.1%

What percentage of 1.16 is 2.22? The amount over 100% will be the increase:

2.22 = (x/100)(1.16)

x = 2.22(100)/1.16

x = 191.4%

The increase is 91.4%
