Answer: The maximum height of the ball was 2.5 seconds after it was thrown.

Explanation:

As shown in the table, the ball started coming down after the third second and yet the height at both the second and third seconds were the same. This means that the ball hit its highest extent between the second and third seconds.

Taking an average of these digits will give;

= (2 + 3) / 2

= 2.5 seconds

The ball therefore hit its highest level at 2.5 seconds and then started its descent.
