How is the bench press done? What muscle groups does this exercise work?​

Mainly chest then triceps then a little shoulders

A bench press is done by lying down on a flat bench and pressing a barbell up and down; this has to be done at chest height. It mainly works the pectoralis major (pecs), triceps brachii (triceps), and anterior (front) deltoid.
