2x – 3y = 18 --> 2x – 3y = 18

use elimination

3(2x+y=4) --> 6x+3y=12

2x-3y=18

8x = 30

divide by 8

x=3.75

7.5+y=4

subtract 7.5 from both sides

y= -3.5
