if x - 3 + 2 is less than 10 then you would solve this question like this,

x - 3 + 2 < 10

x -(3+3) + 2 < 10 + 3

x + 2 < 13

x +(2-2) < 13 - 2

x < 11

x-3 + 2 < 10

x - 1 < 10 .... combine like terms

x-1+1 < 10+1 ... add 1 to both sides

x < 11 is the answer

If you need to graph it, then place an open circle at 11 on the number line. Shade to the left.
