Answer:

alright so I'll give an example, say if theres like 5x+6x. you can add these because they have the same variable so it would equal 11x. However if you had something like 5x+6n you cannot add cause yhey have different variables. If you have something like 5x^2+6x you still cannot combine because one has a different variable.
