What are all the different soils of the Earth?

There are three main types of soil—clay, sandy, and loamy. There are also other types of soil, depending on the type of underlying rock and the climate and vegetation. Loams are a mixture of clay, sand, and silt, and are more fertile than other soils.

Here are the different types of soil:

  • Tundra soils
  • Podzols
  • Podzols and Brown Earth
  • Spodosols
  • Chernozems
  • Alfisols
  • Vertisols
  • Aridisols
  • Ferralsols
  • Montane soils

Some of the soils are very weak, due to the fact that there are harsh environmental conditions, like aridisols (desert soil) and Tundra soils.
