Working out a percentage increase or decrease between the two numbers is pretty simple. The resulting number (the second input) is 750 and what we need to do first is subtract the old number, 320, from it:

750 - 320 = 430

Once we've done that we need to divide the result, 430, by the original number, 320. We do this because we need to compare the difference between the new number and the original:

430/320 = 1.343

We now have our answer in decimal format. How do we get this into percentage format? Multiply 2.3 by 100? Ding ding ding! We have a winner:

1.343 x 100 = 134.3%
