What direction will the parent graph move if... f(x - 6) = (x - 6)

Going from f(x) = x to g(x) = f(x-6) = x-6 will move the graph 6 units to the right.

Effectively replacing x with x-6 shifts the xy axis 6 units to the left, giving the illusion the function curve shifts 6 units to the right.

Answer: shifts 6 units to the right.
