Explain the consequences of the American War of Independence on the British Empire.​

Answer: The British lost their colonies on the Atlantic Ocean. The colonies provided them so many valuable items they could trade, like:

  • cotton
  • tobacco

These were essentials their supply was from the Eastern Colonies, but they lost them during the Revolutionary War.
