Why do people support child labor?

While child labor is a detestable act, some people, most likely business owners, support child labor because it helps them. For example if a business owner wants to cut corners and mass produce lets say jeans child labor pays him more because he doesn't have to pay them or pays very little. While if he were to hire the same amount of grown workers, the least he pays them would be $8 an hour because that's minimum wage.
