Direct democracy or pure democracy is a form of democracy in which people decide on policy initiatives directly. This differs from the majority of currently established democracies, which are representative democracies.

A direct democracy is a system of government in which every citizen votes on every issue. The opposite of this is a representative democracy, in which the citizens vote for representatives who will then vote on issues on behalf of their constituents.

Hope this helps!!
