idk what words your dragging but always remember that a independant clause is a sentence that has a subject and verb and expresses a complete thought and makes since for example, "I enjoy sitting by the fireplace and reading." thats a complete sentence, a dependant clause is a sentence that begins with a subordinating conjunction, such as if, after, before, because, although, or when, and it requires the support of an independent clause to constitute a complete sentence which would make it somthing like a complex sentence which has a independant and dependant clause in it
