Answer:

The telegraph was a big revolution that take the world by storm and completely change the way we used to communicate and exchange information, connecting the world globally for the very first time. Altough, the telegraph was not a portable instrument, which required to go to the office in order to be able to send a message. The language used by the telegraph was not easy to learn, so few people could actually be able to send a message even if the machine were portable.
