Before the success of the Montgomery bus boycott, black people were treated unfairly on

buses. Can you think of other examples in which black people in the South didn't have the
same rights as white people?

Black kids could NOT go to the same school with white kids because they were messed up back then. Also white and black kids could not be friends because white people did not allow it.

Black people did not have the right to sit in a restaurant that was labeled whites only. They were also not allowed to drink out of certain water fountains, and were not allowed to go to school with white kids.
