My Space

I need a space, a simple place to call my own.
A place to create, like an artist's studio with paints and brushes: my imagination in color.
A place to prepare, like a squirrel's nest full of acorns as winter approaches.
A destination in which to daydream, like a map of Ambition, guiding me into the future.
I need a
safe
space to be me.
How does the figurative language in the fourth stanza most clearly contribute to the overall meaning of the poem?
A. The simile comparing personal space to a map suggests that having a place of her own encourages the speaker to plan for the future.
B. The simile comparing daydreaming to the future suggests that daydreaming and ambition are not the same
C. The simile comparing daydreaming to the future suggests that the speaker does not consider the future something to worry about while being young
D. The simile comparing personal space to a map suggests that the speaker wants to decorate her room with maps.
