Because once you get old enough to go out of your own the poeple you surround yourself with have the most influence. I also think that as teenagers we tend to want to be more like our friends wether their a good influence or not. Also in my psychology class, it said that once a human turns a teenager the friends influence is greater.

If this is just an opinion thing though you should just choose whatever one you like better!
