Adam likes apples. They are his favorite fruit. Adam eats 30 apples per week. If there are 12 apples per bag, how many bags of apples must Adam buy on his next grocery run? Explain your answer

Three. If he needs 30 apples he would need three bags because 12 times 3 is 36 and there is no way to get a half of bag.

If there are 12 per bag then you would multiply the number of bags by the number of apples. In this case 12*2=24 he needs 30 so, 12*3=36 if he gets 3 bags he will have enough for one week and still have 6 left over.
