Is an egg an heterogeneous or homogeneous

Why, within the well defined boundaries between sections of the egg (the yolk, white, shell, etc.), the material is homogenous, but as each region is composed of distinct materials, so the egg as a whole is heteogenous. As far as a hard boiled egg is concerned it is Homogeneous
