2. How should the rate of photosynthesis change if the amount of light reaching a leaf decreases? Why?

a higher light intensity means more packets of light called photons are hitting the leaves. Without enough light, a plant cannot photosynthesise very quickly. Even if there is plenty of water and carbon dioxide and a suitable temperature. Increasing the light intensity increases the rate of photosynthesis. Or vise versa.
