How was the culture of Western Europe affected by the Dark Ages?

Well after the Dark ages came the Renaissance. The culture was changed because the Dark ages had many wars and plagues. The Renaissance was a time of growth. A time of art and science. Notable or famous people were Leonardo Da Vinci, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello. The culture became more "mature" as you might want to call it. I really hope this helps.
