x = 6.5 ; y = 5

Explanation:

This is an equilateral triangle. So in an equilateral triangle , all the sides are equal. Hence :-


y + 3 = 2x - 5 = 8

Value of x =


2x - 5 = 8


= > 2x = 8 + 5 = 13


= > x = (13)/(2) = 6.5

Value of y :-


y + 3 = 8


= > y = 8 - 3 = 5
