Why did tortoise not attend Jupiter’s wedding?

Since the tortoise carries his home on his back, no matter where he goes or how hard he tries he can’t leave home. Jupiter punished him because he was lazy and always stayed at home and not attend Jupiter’s wedding when especially invited.
