In the Gettysburg Address, When Lincoln says the nation was "so conceived and so dedicated" what is he referring to?

Answer:

The nation was so conceived and so dedicated. That was referring to the United States when I was going through its harshest period, during the Civil War. Conceived means mentally prepared and dedicated means loyal. Lincoln used these words to encourage Americans (Union) to keep fighting and hang in there.
