The SAT or ACT is a standardized test in which measures your understanding of school concepts in subjects such as mathematics. This test provides a score, and the score is sent of to colleges and universities. The higher the score the better, and the higher chance you may have of getting into a top university. In preparation, there are classes, workbooks, and online tests to help you prepare for the SAT.

As of right now, taking the SAT will still be a requirement. However, check with your high school’s counselor depending on where you live. Additionally, some colleges may wave having to take your SAT this year, but not necessarily.

It’s good to start studying for your SAT now, so come your junior/senior year, you won’t have to stress about taking the test and you will prepared to get a great score!

Hope this helps, and good luck on your SAT :)
