Why is it important to take to consider point of view, frame of reference,and bias when learning about history

Answer:

In order to fully understand the time or event in history, you are learning about you need to understand why the event occurred and from what side you are reading about. For example, if we were reading about the American Revolution, the British have entirely different ways of looking at the battles and the turnout of the war than we do in American schools. So taking point of view into consideration is a HUGE part of understanding historical events.
