Now taking 3x to right hand side of the eqn . & +1 to the left side eqn. , sign of 3x changes to -3x & +1 changes to -1 .


-2-1 = 4x - 3x

Now solving this , we get the value of x.


4x - 3x = -2 -1\\=> x = -3
