I think of a number. If I divide the sum of 6 and the number by 3, the result is 4 more than one quarter of the number. Find the number.

Answer: 24

Explanation:

(6+x)/3=0.25x+4

6+x=(0.25x+4)(3)

6+x=0.75x+12

x-0.75x=12-6

0.25x=6

x=6/0.25

x=24
