a replublic:A state which supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives. Democracy: A system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives.

Answer:

There are many differences!

The biggest one though is that in a Republic, all the power goes to those elected officials. In a democracy, the whole population has some say too.
