you go to the store and buy 5 large bags of skittles and a bottle of water . The bottle of water cost 1.50. If you spent 11.50 at the store, how much did each bag of skittles cost?

ANSWER:-

  • Let the cost of one skittles be x.
  • So the cost of 5 skittles will be 5x.

Now, given that:-

Cost of one water bottle is 1.50 units.

And amount that I spent is 11.50 units.

So, the reaming amount is


11.50 - 1.50 = \boxed{10 \: units}

So, now if I place in Equations,

5x = 10


x = (10)/(5) = 2

So, Each bag of skittles cost 2 units.
