Why do people force their religion on others?

Many people believe that it is disrespectful to have different ideas than those of the religion that they follow. They want to show their entire faith to their God, by trying to have other people join them in their worship.

Because it gives them a sort of “authority” making others believe that they are the truthful ones and nobody else can be.
