Explanation:

In the points S and T, the y- co ordinate are unchanged. So, the line joining S and T are parallel to x -axis.

So, the distance will be the sum of obsolute value of the x- coordinates.

Distance = I 7I + I - 2I

= 7 + 2

= 9 units
