Answer: y = -1/2x -1

Step-by-step explanation: since the new line is parallel to the given line the slope of both the lines world be same. Therefore putting the new values in the equation

y-y1=m(x-x1)

y-1=-1/2(x+4)

y-1=-1/2x -2

y=-1/2x-1
