One of the largest coral reefs died out because of all the plastic and pollution that was in the ocean. Animals like sea turtles and sea lions die because of the plastic either wraps them up making them immobile therefore dying or it it gets inside of them thus killing them from the inside out.

Plastic waste kills up to a million seabirds a year. As with the sea turtles, when seabirds ingest plastic, it takes up room in their stomachs, sometimes causing starvation.
